An important with belonging is when people feel connected and empowered. Through a commitment to belonging and mutuality, we strive to honor people’s own empowerment and agency. As the Christian story is about God’s presence with us, we recognize the healing power of presence and strive to be present with one another.

Opportunities to Consider

Justice-Seeking

Led by Linda Ford and Sequoia Powers-Griffin, the Justice-Seeking Committee fights for social aims within the wider community. We support racial equity, immigrant and refugee support, LGBTQ support, affordable housing, the Cincinnati Scholar House, elimination of the death penalty, CUFA and fair voting districts. We also participate in a card ministry for inmates.
Operations

The Operations Committee keeps our sanctuary, facilities, and grounds refreshed and up to date. The team administers, manages, and maintains the historic church building and grounds. Contact Diane Myers at buildingandgrounds@mtauburnpresby.org to learn more.
Finance and Stewardship

Led by Ruth Ann Van Loon and Lisa Foster, the Finance and Stewardship Committee develops and reports the church budget to session, solves financial issues, and leads the annual stewardship campaign.
Worship

The Worship Committee, led by Van Ackerman, Julie Malkin, and Rich Bitting, creates artful, spiritual, and memorable worship experiences by fostering an inclusive space that welcomes the creative and spiritual talents of all members.
Education and Spiritual Nurture

The Education and Spiritual Nurture Committee, led by Anne Marciniak, Poppy Evans, and Sequoia Powers-Griffin, runs programs to enrich church members with adult education, book clubs, special meditations, and a host of empowering activities in Cincinnati.
