Dr. Sudheer S. Chauhan

July 17, 1950 – May 18, 2020

His unique, kind, gentle, and caring spirit: will be missed. Dr. Chauhan received his medical education from GSUM Medical College, University of Kanpur, India in 1972. He was the Chief of Internal Medicine residents at Jamaica Hospital, New York. A Board-Certified physician in Internal Medicine, he also received citations from the Royal College of Physicians, and FACP from the American College of Physicians.

He was a loving husband and a father to three daughters who followed in their father’s medical footsteps. He was always open to answering family and friends’ questions about medical problems.

Dr. Sudheer S Chauhan, who had dedicated his life serving thousands of patients in the New York region, became the third physician of Indian origin to succumb to the deadly disease on May 19. Dr. Chauhan, an Internal Medicine specialist in South Richmond Hill, New York, with nearly half a century of diverse experience, died after battling for two months with a disease
He fought SARS-Cov2 and lost his battle in May of 2020, after having helped many fight and survive this same novel virus.
