FEARLESS LOVE FOR ALL PEOPLE
A Welcoming Church Community
We accept and support you no matter where you are in your spiritual journey. We know God’s boundless love, and it does not discriminate by gender, sexual orientation, race, age, or any other factor. Rooted in this understanding, our rich history includes over 30 years of ground-breaking justice work. Today, our church preaches a welcoming and progressive theology, opening our doors wide to the community. For more information, read our new Statement of Belonging.
Our Statement of Belonging
At Mount Auburn Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati, Ohio we seek to honor and love all persons, without exception. Everyone belongs, including people of:
All ages and abilities. We seek to create a caring church culture for all persons. We strive to create spaces so that all can feel comfortable bodily, emotionally and socially, in the pews and in church programs. No one is marginalized. Everyone is to be celebrated.
You belong here
Every sexual orientation, gender identity, and family. We respect LGBTQ+ people, each person’s understanding and expression of themselves, and all families.
We love you for who you are
All racial, ethnic, national origin, cultural and economic backgrounds and immigration status. We are all made in the image of God. No one is superior to another in God’s eyes or ours. We welcome and celebrate diversity.
Each of us has the same right to live on this earth with dignity
All generations, personalities, perspectives, attributes, and backgrounds. We strive to recognize and lift up everyone and their unique gifts. We don’t have all the answers, but support each other and seek together on a shared faith journey.
We commit to listen, learn, and engage
All faith and belief backgrounds. We seek to live the values of Christ – love, justice and peace – with reverence for God’s creation.
We seek to live humbly, honestly, and faithfully
