The book club is open to anyone who enjoys the reading of good books and the discussions they inspire, exposure to new ideas and differing viewpoints, and an opportunity to socialize with other book lovers.  Although we don't focus on one genre, we primarily read contemporary fiction and occasionally enjoy reaching deep into thought provoking literature.  Suggestions are made by the group and we often have the books selected for six months at a time.

Whatever your reasons for joining Open Stacks Book Club, as long as you want to have fun and discuss great books, you're sure to find our reading group a rewarding experience!

We read and discuss great literary works that deal with religious and spiritual issues like, Dante's Divine Comedy, Dostoevsky's Brothers Karamazov, Thoreau's Walden, and the Confessions of St. Augustine.
